Thank You!
So we are grocery shopping yesterday, and everytime I would pick something new up (i.e tomatillos and cilantro) Curtis would say, what are you doing with that? I would simply reply that they are for a recipe. By the end of the trip he was asking if I would ever be done with new recipes. Poor guy. So thank you for all your yummy recipes. We have loved them. Keep them coming.

I have gotten the same reaction from Scott a few times when he has helped unload the grocery bags. My favorite was when he discovered the tofu. :) I am learning so much about ingredients! It is really fun. I think cooking is now my hobby. Weird.
Wow, I am impressed that you have husbands that go shopping with you. My husband doesn't even know what "new" things I am making, he just eats it. But then again, I am always trying new things- I think my life would be easier if I stuck to a rotation. Thanks for the fun recipes! I'm having fun.
Since we moved in April, my husband has come grocery shopping with me a total of 2 (two) times. What's your trick with your husbands? =)
my husband loves grocery shopping with me. i suspect he mostly loves sneaking chocolate chip cookies into the cart when i'm not looking. or maybe he goes so that he can veto the soy-based meat substitutes, organic rice milk and expensive cage-free eggs that i'm always trying to buy? maybe that's the trick, to shop like a hippie until your husband decides to accompany you and look over your shoulder? anyway, we count it as together-time since we can't afford to do anything fun these days (and i love his help carrying the bags up 4 flights of stairs to the apartment). from time to time i'll go pick up a few things on my own, but i don't think i've EVER made a full trip alone to the grocery store since we've been married.
When we first got married we both worked at Macey's in Logan. So we would just buy groceries together when we got off work. But truly I think Curtis wants to go shopping so that we will have some meat and potatoes as well as junkfood in the house! And, have you ever tried major grocery shopping with 4 kids? We were good until the baby came. Now it is a two cart ordeal.
