REQUEST: Breakfast ideas
I need some ideas. I have a nursing baby that has been pretty fussy, so I'm trying several things to try to help that. Lately I've seen a correlation between when I eat ice cream and when I don't and how that affects him. I'm suspecting he has a hypersensitivity to dairy products. So, since I am a cold cereal addict and I am avoiding milk I need ideas for breakfast that don't have dairy in them. Thanks for your help.

There is a tremendous-looking recipe for Eggs Benedict on The Pioneer Woman's website (www.pioneerwoman.com) but I haven't tried it yet. If you like eggs, that could be a really good one.
I like eating a crumbled up hardboiled egg on toast. It's messy that way, but really good. Protein and fiber packed, too.
I like eating hot cereal with a bit of brown sugar during the fall and winter months. Mmm... I eat oatmeal, Germade (like cream of wheat) and another 7 grain hot cereal. Also, this is a weird tradition my mom started, but applesauce with cold cereal on top. My husband thinks I am crazy, but it really tastes pretty good. I DON'T like cows milk with cereal so this is what I eat. Also, try rice milk and soy milk- your baby might be able to handle it. Vanilla flavor tastes the best. That is what I use with cold cereal as well.
Thanks for the ideas. Unfortunately I can't eat a lot of eggs (didn't I forget to mention that). I have high cholesterol and that makes this even more difficult. I will have to try the applesauce with cold cereal and the rice and soy milk. Thanks again.
I like french fries for all meals.
i am crazy about rice milk and soy milk (surprise surprise). although i agree with alicia: vanilla-flavored milks tend to be yummier. and CHOCOLATE soy/rice milk is, of course, the best...and completely acceptable for breakfast :)
Pizza and leftover applecrisp.
Preferrably not together.
