1 1/2 c. chicken, cooked and cubed
1 c. pineapple tidbits, drained
1/2 c. slivered almonds
1/2 c. diced celery
1/2 c. sour cream
1/3 c. mayonnaise
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. seedless green grapes, cut in half
Mix sour cream, mayonnaise, and salt together. Add remaining ingredients and chill. I like to eat this as a roll or croissant sandwich.

I don't think I've ever made chicken salad before and I wanted to know if sour cream is necessary for a good taste? I don't have that ingredient and was wondering...
hmm, you know I don't know. I think sour cream adds to it and makes it taste better, but you could probably do without. This is a recipe I got from a college ward member and I haven't ever experimented with it. Go for it, try it without although I would add more mayo or something to give it more sauce.
