1 c. sliced almonds
1/3 c. sugar
Mix together on stove, low heat, until caramelized- cool.
Add to salad:
1 bunch spinach
1/8-1/4 onion diced (or less according to taste)
1/2 pkg. Craisens (dried cranberries)
Dressing - Blend in blender until liquid:
1/2 c. oil
1/2 c. red wine vinegar
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
1/8 red onion (I put in just a thin slice)
1 1/2 tsp. poppy seeds
Drizzle dressing on salad right before serving and toss. Salad will get wilty if the dressing sits on the salad too long.
