Play Dough

This was my Grandma's recipe. It's the only recipe I use.

Ingredients

1 cup Water
1 cup Flour
1/2 cup Salt
2 tablespoons Oil
2 teaspoons Cream of tarter
Food coloring

Instructions
Mix together in pan and cook on medium heat until it pulls away from the side and forms a ball.
Store in a jar or ziploc baggie in a cool place when not in use.

Here is how I make it.
Heat the water, oil, and food coloring. Then remove from heat and add dry ingredients and stir until it forms a ball. Then I transfer to a big ziploc baggie and knead until smooth, it will still be hot so this helps it cool. I found that adding the coloring to the water makes a smoother and brighter color, which my kids appreciate. The gel colorings work awesome.
I store in the fridge.
