Broccoli Salad
This salad is yummy! My kids didn't like it much, but I think it's because of the onion. This is a great salad for potlucks.
1 pound Broccoli
1/3 cup Red onion chopped
1/2 cup Monterey jack cheese grated or Swiss Cheese
3 strips Bacon cooked and crumbled
Dressing:
4 tablespoons Lite Miracle Whip or Mayonnasie
1/2 cup Skim milk
2 tablespoons Vinegar
Chop broccoli into small, bitesize pieces. Combine broccoli, onion, bacon, and cheese in a large bowl. Mix dressing separately. Pour dressing over broccoli mixture. Let salad chill for at least 1 hour before serving so flavors will blend.

YES! I had this salad at a party once, and was unable to find out who made it to get the recipe. It is SO GOOD! I can't wait to make it! Thanks, Tori.
in my family, we add raisins to it...yummo! ( I know, it sounds weird
, but it is amazing!)
We used to do that too. I have never added cheese though. I think I would opt not to just so I could keep it longer. I also like to add cauliflour (sp?) Yummy to use white wine vinegar too.
Adding parmesan might be good and it tends to last longer in the frig than some cheeses that get all droopy...also ...I think my sis adds in slivered almonds.
Who has leftovers to put in the fridge?
